Check the installed model
Compatible built-in receivers can accept NOVA transmitters. Confirm the operator generation and receiver before ordering; a brand name alone is not a complete compatibility check.
Assess an external receiver
A suitable NOVA HELIX receiver may add NOVA radio control to another operator. Supply, wiring and the motor’s control interface must support the installation.
Allocate the functions
Separate remote buttons can control compatible gate and garage receivers. Available channels and programmed functions determine what each button can do.
Before buying: Send the existing remote, motor label and receiver details. A matching frequency or similar-looking casing does not guarantee the correct coding protocol.

It needs a compatible NOVA receiver, either built into the operator or added externally. Send the motor model and receiver details so we can check the setup before supplying or programming a remote.
Is any 433MHz remote compatible?
No. Frequency alone does not establish compatibility. The coding protocol and receiver support must also match. A remote that looks similar or uses the same frequency may still be unsuitable.
Can one remote operate a gate and a garage door?
Often, if both systems have compatible receivers and the selected buttons are assigned appropriately. Different buttons can be allocated to different functions; the available functions depend on the connected equipment.
How many buttons can I choose?
The published NOVA range lists one-, two-, three- and four-button transmitters. Confirm the currently available variant when requesting a quotation. More buttons do not automatically mean every function is enabled on the motor.
What is code-hopping?
The transmitter changes the transmitted code between operations instead of repeating a single fixed access code. The compatible receiver recognises authorised transmissions. This helps resist straightforward copying of a fixed radio signal, but it does not replace careful access management.
Can I replace a lost NOVA remote?
Yes, request a compatible replacement and authorised programming. Tell us if the old remote is lost or stolen so the options for removing its access can be checked on the installed receiver. Deletion methods vary by system.
Can NOVA be used with a non-CENTURION motor?
A suitable external NOVA HELIX receiver can provide compatible radio control where the operator supports the required interface. Wiring, supply and function requirements need checking before installation.
What battery does a NOVA remote use?
The standard NOVA transmitter technical information lists a GP23 12V battery. Confirm the marking in the actual remote before replacement, especially if the casing or transmitter is a different model. Battery replacement does not resolve every remote fault.
Why does the remote only work very close to the gate?
A weak battery is one possible cause. Antenna position, interference, receiver condition, obstacles or a damaged transmitter may also affect range. We assess the radio system rather than promise a fixed distance.
How many remotes can the receiver store?
The listed NOVA HELIX capacities are 62 learned buttons for a single-channel receiver and 250 for the multichannel models. These are button-memory figures, not a guarantee of that many fully populated four-button remotes. Built-in operator receivers can have different capacities.
