What is the difference between the RDO II and RDO DIGITAL?
They are different CENTURION roll-up door operator models. RDO II is the model covered by the older specification table on this page. RDO DIGITAL has a different control and limit-setting design, so features and specifications must be checked against its own documentation.
Can an existing manual roll-up garage door be automated?
Possibly. A technician must check the door size, roller drum, guides, spring balance, manual operation and mounting clearances, then confirm a compatible motor.
Will the motor work during load shedding?
RDO II uses a battery-driven 24V DC system with backup capability. Actual operation during an outage depends on battery condition, the door load and the specific installation. Do not assume an unlimited number of cycles.
